I've been confronted with the power of choice recently.
With that said, I want to introduce you to the new songs I've fallen in love with and chosen. And yes, they will most likely be playing at my future wedding reception:
Emily King - "Distance"
I feel like a grown up when I listen to this song. And in this case, being grown up is absolutely wonderful.
Years & Years - "Shine"
Why do I always start crying when I hear this song??
Sam Feldt - "Show Me Love" (ft. Kimberly Anne)
I was here on planet earth for the original done by Robin S. And I will still push past you to get to that dance floor when this song comes on. But this remake with Sam Feldt, made me feel all the feelings. Plus he's from the Netherlands. So there's that.
Gregory Porter - "When Did You Learn?"
Um. Why am I JUST discovering his voice? I feel safe and secure when I listen to this song--like it's all going to be okay. I also think of long walks in NYC...and possibly Sesame Street. All to say, this song is buttery goodness...and has the texture of all the things my ears love.
Leon Bridges - "Lisa Sawyer"
Mom! Doesn't Leon look like he's related to us? Anyway. This song. His voice. The smooth. The rugged. I inevitably need to listen to Sam Cooke, Solomon Burke, and Otis Redding after hearing this song. I also have an urge to watch the film, "Dirty Dancing"...#crytome #honeymoongoals

And what about you...What's your choicest songs of the hour...? xo
