We’ve all encountered these fine folks.
Those that live under a veil of their own self-deception.
In fact, that was once us…
But to those that lead dual lives, please remember:
Hypocrisy and Deceit are a sickness and will soon turn on you and make you quite ill--physically and emotionally.
The Remedy:
Ask for God to expose, by His love, any deceit and deception in your own heart in order to bring about true healing to you and those around you.
Because our actions are never done in a vacuum; they affect more than just us.
And a sense of justice is demanded from us.
In all actuality, a price that we cannot fully repay.
But a balance that is still owed.
A balance, through mercy, that has been paid on our behalf in Christ – this is the beautiful and powerful mystery.
And we are left to simply apprehend it.
Grab hold for dear life. AND surrender.
Letting Him set you on the path of Truth.
It’s there that you’ll begin to love the truth and begin to actually walk in it.
--This is mostly an admonition to myself.
Wisdom’s Knocking:
"But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.
But one who looks intently at the perfect law; the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does."
-James 1:22-25
